Here we are, looking through some family pictures and I am quizzing Mom on who these people are. We first looked at a picture of Dad and she was able to quickly tell me his name. She couldn’t remember how long they had been married (he passed away 6 months before their 50th wedding anniversary and he’s been gone since ‘01) and she couldn’t tell me how many kids they had (5). I then showed her a picture of her and Dad walking hand in hand on their first date. They were heading into the Sportatorium, which was a big deal in Dallas back in the day (her day being the 50’s). They had professional wrestling there and a huge wrestling family dynasty (the Von Erichs, if you’re from the area and know of them). She gets confused trying to tell me they were holding hands as they were walking. I then showed her a VERY old picture of her parents ( taken around 1920). The crazy thing is she couldn’t get her father’s last name right. Her father’s last name (her maiden name) was Jackson: LaVarnway is her married name. It blows my mind to see what she can recall. Mom was the only daughter out of 7 kids obuwie couldn’t remember how many brothers she had. The last picture is of her 5 kids. The picture was taken almost 30 years ago and I was a little girl then (I was the girl in the red dress). You hear me ask Mom who those people are in the picture. She knows they’re relatives obuwie she didn’t know how they were related to her and she can’t even remember her own kids’ names. She also didn’t realize that I am the little girl in the picture. She is slowly getting worse as her disease progresses (which is the nature of this disease) and it is very sad to watch her decline like she is. She still has her sense of greps (evident in how she laughs a przelot in the wideoklip) and we just have learned to enjoy her company and greps while she’s still here with us. I know she gets frustrated with me as I ask her these questions obuwie I feel it’s necessary to keep her connected with who she is. The frustration comes from her inability to recall things she knows obuwie it just seems that every conversation is beginning to be a struggle. She forgets events after only a half hour or so time lapse now. Just asking her what she’s done during the day elicits "Oh I don’t know. Why do you ask me so many questions?"
